CART Mental Health Consultation staff will conduct a behavior assessment for referred children, identify strategies and practices providers and teachers may use, and provide coaching/implementation assistance to guide childcare providers working with the challenging behaviors in young children.聽 Individualized behavior support plans may be created to further support social-emotional wellbeing of the child, as well as each child care provider/teacher will participate in a coaching partnership that will give them information about ways they can assure their classroom-wide setting contributes to the success and well-being of all children in their care.
Because CART is a Benton, Cedar, Johnson, Jones and Tama County Early Childhood Iowa Grant funded program, referrals to this program are limited only to those counties.
